Youth Printmaking Workshops

2024/09/13 - 2024/12/11

The Macao Museum of Art (MAM), under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, launched the ‘Youth Art Program’ in 2022, collaborating with schools and youth associations to create a ‘second classroom’ away from school.

The art of printmaking has its origins in ancient printing technology. Through a process of continuous evolution, it has branched out into various plate-making techniques and has become an important form of visual art today. This programme invites young students to experiment with professional printmaking equipment and learn how to create prints, receiving positive feedback. This year, we will continue to enhance the programme by organising a distinctive series of ‘Youth Printmaking Workshops’, aimed at meeting the needs of schools in printmaking education and providing a platform for young people to express their artistic potential and creativity, as well as nurturing new talents in the field of visual arts in Macao.

The workshops are free of charge, and transportation is available for groups. Schools and non-profit organisations are welcome to register and participate!

Target Participants: Young people aged 12 to 24 enrolled through schools or associations.
