Section Six:The Legacy of ‘Neo-Orientalism’
This section brings the exhibition to a close by reflecting on the idea of legacy. Through a reconstructed studio surrounded by photographs of the artist at work, immersive documentaries, manuscripts, a detailed chronology, and other archival treasures, the exhibition extends Mio Pang Fei’s creative journey into the gallery space – inviting guests to discover the core of his ‘Neo-Orientalism’, a vision that fuses the spirit of Eastern culture with the expressive language of Western modern art. Mio’s lifelong dedication not only laid important foundations for modern art in Macao, but also forged a path that preserves cultural roots while actively engaging in international dialogue.
