Current Exhibitions

The exhibition New Perspectives: Modern and Contemporary Works from the Macao Museum of Art features three sections: ‘Scenery and Images’, ‘Ink Expressions and Concepts’, and ‘Objects, Colours, and New Perspectives’. It showcases 100 pieces encompassing various creative styles and techniques, including watercolours, oil paintings, ink art, printmaking, photography, installation, and mixed media, each reflecting the achievements and diversity of the museum’s collection since its establishment. The works on display highlight Macao’s unique identity as a crossroads between Eastern and Western cultures while also demonstrating the city’s rich cultural values and diverse forms of artistic expression.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government collaborates with the Palace Museum to present the Palace of Double Brilliance: Special Exhibition from the Palace Museum. The exhibition showcases a carefully selected collection of over 130 items from the Palace Museum. Featuring four sections, namely ‘Born to Be an Emperor’, ‘Marriage and Family’, ‘The Flourishing Era of Civilian Rule’ and ‘Efficient Governance and Harmonious Nation’, the exhibition offers a unique perspective on the brilliance of ancient civilisations and the rich history of the Palace of Double Brilliance.
